Your Autumn Guide to the Gold Coast

As the summer heat softens, autumn becomes one of the best times to holiday at Gold Coast Tourist Parks. With perfect weather for outdoor adventures and fewer crowds, it's the ideal season to slow down, explore, and soak up everything our region has to offer.

Wander scenic walking trails, visit our world-class beaches and sip local wines and beers. Add to that an exciting line-up of events, live music, markets, and sporting action — and you've got the perfect recipe for an unforgettable getaway!

Explore our natural areas

As we say goodbye to the summer heat, it's the perfect time to explore our natural areas and scenic walking tracks. On the northern Gold Coast, the Federation Walk Coastal Reserve is a must-visit. Stretching from Philip Park near Sea World to the Seaway on The Spit, it is one of the few remaining areas with an established dune system on the Gold Coast. The network of trails is perfect for bushwalking, birdwatching, running and bike riding.

Centrally located is the iconic Oceanview Walk at Burleigh Head National Park. The 1km track loops around and over Jellurgal (Burleigh Headland) and boasts epic views of the ocean, Tallebudgera Creek, and our city skyline.

In the southern end, walk along the coastal path from Kirra to Snapper Rocks. This 2km stretch will take you past word-class surf breaks and sparkling bays perfect for swimming.

You can't talk about autumn without Blues on Broadbeach! This festival is one of the Gold Coast's most iconic annual events, bringing the heart and soul of blues music to the streets of Broadbeach. Every May, this free, four-day music festival transforms the beachside precinct into a lively celebration of rhythm and blues. Featuring a wide array of international and homegrown artists performing across multiple stages, the free festival is a can't-miss event.

In addition to the tunes, enjoy food trucks, pop up bars and family friendly activations. This year's festival will take place from 15-18 May.
