In celebration of the Queensland Year of Indigenous Tourism,
Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park
have partnered to bring an unforgettable cultural experience for our in park guests.
WHEN: Saturday 20 February 2021 at 5.30pm
The “Welcome to Country” ceremony is a small, formal ceremony where traditional owners, welcome people to their land.
It involves a statement or speech made in Aboriginal dialect, translated for those in attendance, to show respect to the traditional custodians of the land.
The Welcome to Country is followed by a dance performance by The Yugambeh Dancers and includes corroborees, dreamtime stories, didgeridoo music and songs about the local history of the First Nations People of the Gold Coast.
This is a complimentary activity proudly provided by Adrian, Casey and the Team at Tallebudgera Creek!
