Immerse yourself in nature, soak up the island sunshine and rejuvenate your senses from the comfort of our Island Shacks. These private, self-contained shacks provide a peaceful retreat in nature and unmatched access to the water’s edge.

While you enjoy the serenity of your own space, you’re still nearby the campground’s shared amenities, gas barbeques, picnic areas, playground, and the popular Tipplers Licensed Café and Kiosk.

Whether you're soaking in the views or enjoying water-based adventures, the Island Shacks are the perfect base to experience South Stradbroke Island.

Bookings only for campers with their own boat suitable for self evacuation of all guests in your booking.


SLEEP

  • Double bed with single bunk (sleeps 3) and single bunk bed with pull out trundle (sleeps 3)
  • Bed linen and towels supplied

EAT

Tipplers Cafe

  • Open 7 days a week
    • Monday to Thursday - 9am to 3pm (5pm during school holidays)
    • Friday - 9am to 7pm
    • Saturday - 7:30am to 7pm
    • Sunday - 7:30am to 5pm
  • Delivery - Dinner can be delivered to your campsite from the Cafe. Please place your order before closing times.

SHOWERS & TOILETS

  • Campground amenities include toilets and hot showers

IMPORTANT INFO

  • Island Shacks are unpowered. Please bring portable charging devices for mobile phones.
  • Island Shacks do not have air conditioning or ceiling fans.
  • Access to the island is exclusively by boat. Vehicles or caravans are unfortunately not permitted.
  • Generators not permitted on the island due to noise nuisance.
  • No pets allowed. Please support us in protecting the native wildlife in this pristine area.
  • Dogs are prohibited within the Conservation Park (managed by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services) and all three of the campgrounds managed by the City of Gold Coast (Tipplers Campground, North Currigee Campground, South Currigee Campground).
