Main Beach Newsletter - October 2020

Welcome to Main Beach Tourist Park!

What’s new this month…

The countdown to Summer is on! Springtime on the Gold Coast is just awesome with the sea breezes warming up and the water temperature simply divine!

Spring School Holidays were pumping here at Main Beach! Whilst it was a little different having such a huge proportion of Queenslanders staying with us this year, it was just great to see locals exploring and enjoying a holiday in their own backyard!

The kids were kept entertained with some really cool activities and we gave out a record number of Mantra Dollars – well done guys!! For those that are unsure, our Tourist Park team keep an eye out for young guests doing something awesome. It could be helping another person, being safe and wearing a helmet, picking up a stray piece of litter…anything! Kids then take their Mantra Dollar to their guardian for a signature and can then use that Mantra Dollar to spend in the park kiosk!

Earlier this year our in-park bottle recycling initiative raised over $3000 which was donated to helping the Queensland Rural Fire Service and wildlife rescue organisations after the horrific 2019/20 fire season. We are so proud of the effort that guest went to, to separate their bottles and cans and pop them into the designated bins. This equates to over 30000 containers saved from going to landfill! And that was just one summer season in the park!

We are now turning our recycling returns into much needed donations towards local foodbanks such as OzHarvest. We are seeing the financial struggle that many people are having due to the Coronavirus pandemic and we look forward to helping these much needed charities do their amazing work.

GC FUN FACT: We have approximately 300 days of sunshine every year
