Ho! Ho! Ho! it's off to Burleigh Beach Tourist Park

Santas Mailbox

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the park, the children were excited from morning to dark.

The stockings were hung up in each tent with care in hope that Santa would know they were there.

To ensure their Christmas wishes came true, they wrote letters to Santa and posted them too.

In a post box constructed just for that reason, a small piece of wonder and why? , ‘tis the season.

But with a park full of children counting their sleeps parental stress levels were growing in leaps.

So to give mums and dads a quiet drink in the sun, we have chalk art and bubbles and a colorful run.

They laughed and they cheered but then came the test, the children all said , ‘that was great but what’s next?’

Airbrush Tattoos

To keep them amused what would it take, in the spirit of Christmas they all iced a cupcake.

Licking their lips and fingers as well, 'what next can we do?' we heard them all yell

Go hunt a bear they were told, be brave and be bold, 'what’s that in a tree, is it a clip on koala I see., I’ll swap it at reception, a Caramello for me.

The park was a-buzz, the children happy and rested, the parents all busy, their patience had been tested.

So kindly park manager Matt with his BBQ hot, cooked everyone sausages with onions atop.

Not much longer to wait now, but still things to do, perhaps you would like a festive airbrush tattoo

“How great do we look!” the children all cried, but the tent looked quite dreary and dull inside.

So with paper and ribbon and sparkles and glue the children made decorations, and the tent looked anew.

Tired children all slept and dreamt of new shiny toys and when they awoke, they experienced the joys,

Of a Christmas Day at their favourite park, and the feeling of wonder from morning to dark.

Have a very Merry Christmas from the Burleigh Beach fam and we will see you next year in your tent or caravan!
