The Pawfect Pet Getaway

WOOF! (That’s hello in dog)

My human just took me on THE BEST holiday ever! We stayed at Kirra Beach Tourist Park and I can tell you, it’s pawfect!

When we got there, I heard the lady at the desk tell my human I could have 1 free dog wash, can you believe that? She said that every booking with a dog gets this when they check in, so there must be some really clean pooches staying here. I couldn’t wait to meet them all!

After we finished setting up camp- well, I laid in the shade of the tree and supervised my human… we went for a wander down towards the beach, we had a little play on Kirra Beach. I did need to stay on my lead there and couldn’t go too close to the flags, but that’s ok, it was so nice to dip my feet into the cool water. I did meet a really lovely Border Collie along the way who said if I wanted to run around, I could go to the Currumbin Creek or Duranbah Beaches which are both off leash and only a short drive for my human. My new friend Matilda, she travels all the time and loves Kirra![/btx_image]

After a little nap back at our peaceful site we walked down the road to see what was there. I think my human needed one of those delicious smelling drinks that always makes humans so cheerful after they wake up, coffee is it?

There were plenty of places we could have stopped and had something to eat and lots of people stopped to pat me. Everyone is so friendly at Kirra Beach. We passed many places with some really yummy smells, I wish we could have stopped at them all! Some that I was allowed to visit were Espresso Moto, Café Kirra and Tupe-Aloha who came out to say hi and asked my human to book a table for us both if we wanted to have dinner there (we did later on, and it was yum!) We ended up stopping at a nice place called Kirramisu where the food for my human looked delish and my water was fresh and cool!

When we woke up in the morning my owner had organised a special treat for me. Yoga. Yup that’s right- dog yoga! We were lucky, as its only held in the cooler months, but it’s so much fun and I met Guru Max who teaches ‘doga’ with his lovely Human who also mentioned that there was an off leash dog park in Tugun, which isn’t too far away and sounded like lots of fun!

On our last night my human was heading out with some friends and I couldn’t go. I am not allowed to stay in the park all by myself so I stayed with one of the pet sitters nearby, the nice human in the office said there were 2 to choose from, Doggy Distractions and Pets in Wonderland (these guys have some tasty Doggie Ice Cream). I had such a fun time!

I had my free dog bath in the park the next morning so I could wash off all the sand for our trip home. My human said we might come back and stay in one of the pawsome pet friendly villas when the next Paws at the Park is on. That’s a Market that I can go to as well!

I just can’t wait to come back to Kirra Beach Tourist Park.

You simply MUST get your human to bring you here!
