Looking for pet friendly accommodation? Welcome to your self-contained cabin stay….. A weekend away with your fur baby at Kirra Beach!
Kristie and Kieron, our Kirra Beach Tourist Park Managers, have put together a pawfect itinerary for you.
Sharing knowledge of their local experience, see their suggested weekend itinerary below... It's guaranteed to meet with your pet's approval! Experience Kirra Beach! Treat yourselves and furry loved one!
(Read more about Kristie, Kieron and Zoe, at the end of the itinerary)
Day 1 - Arrive Friday at Kirra Beach Tourist Park!

Jump in the car and head off to Kirra Beach Tourist Park. Check in early afternoon and get settled in our 2 Bedroom Pet Friendly Cabin.
Once you're settled in, take a sunset stroll along the esplanade down to The Strand to pick up your BBQ goodies from Salt & Smoke - Our favourite local butcher. Our pick is the Beef Brisket Sausages, you must try those!
When you arrive back at the cabin, it is time to prepare for a BBQ dinner on your balcony overlooking the lake!
Day 2 - Saturday, a day to explore!

On waking, it is time to head off for breakfast. Take a quick 10 minute walk to Kirramisu at the beach-front... They have amazing food, great coffee and are pet friendly! Our personal brekky choice is their Pancake Stack!
After a tasty breakfast, pack a picnic lunch, the beach umbrella and drive up to Currumbin Creek’s off leash dog beach. It is an idyllic location to spend the day with your furry friend.
Remember to grab a smoothie from the Dune Café when you head back to the car. On your way back from the beach stop in at reception and grab your free dog wash token. After all, you are going to need it following a sandy day at the beach.
To top off a long day in the sun, what else but treat yourself to a nice dinner? Tupe Aloha is the perfect place to cure your Mexican cravings! They have the best tacos and delicious cocktails to choose from. They are also pet friendly.
Day 3 - Sunday for enjoying a late check-out
Departure day, but don’t get too down about it! Get a late check out for midday so you can enjoy a cooked brekky on the balcony BBQ and soak up some Sunday morning sunshine. Take a quick 600 metre walk over to the beautiful Coolangatta beach for a last-minute dip in the ocean.

Safe travels home, you're always welcome back!

Meet our Kirra Beach Tourist Park Managers, Kristie and Kieron, with Zoe
Kieron and Kristie have flourished since being given the opportunity to manage their first little park... After beginning their journey as Park Managers a few years back, what they love most about the industry is the amazing lifestyle and the many different people they meet: "We have met some wonderful guests who we are still in touch with and some who still come and stay with us to this day."
Their favourite things about Kirra include the relaxed atmosphere and abundance of local cafés and restaurants they have in the area. Kirra has such a holiday feel to it. Everything is accessible by foot and some of the best beaches for swimming are so close by.
Dog friendly activities in Kirra: There are 2 off leash dog friendly beaches within a 5-10 minute drive, both north and south. The awesome esplanade walk stretches all the way along the coastline from Snapper rocks up to Currumbin. There are also a few cafés close by which are pet friendly too! But the best part is the off leash grassed area just on the boundary of the park. It is such a huge open space for the dogs to run around and play fetch and all the park guests comment on how wonderful it is to have so close by.
Can't wait to see you all at Kirra Beach!
