Explore the Gold Coast: No Driving Needed

Here's how to spend a weekend at our parks, no driving required:

Broadwater Tourist Park

Explore the Broadwater Parklands

The Broadwater Parklands are chock-full of fun for all ages. With state-of-the-art playgrounds, kid-friendly rockpools, barbeques, a jumping pillow, and sand volleyball, you'll be entertained all day. Make sure to visit the GC Aqua Park while you're there. This inflatable water course is a hit for all ages.

Go for a coffee and brekky at Broadwater Café

Just a 5 minute stroll from the park, you'll find the quaint Broadwater Café. Serving up delicious coffee and to-die-for brekky burgers, this is a must-visit spot during your stay. Enjoy your treats picnic style and watch the swans sail by.

Catch the ferry and cruise the canals

Did you know that the Gold Coast has a ferry? Enter, Hopo - the hop-on, hop-off sightseeing ferry. Hop on at the Broadwater Parklands stop where you can travel to Sea World, Marina Mirage, Surfers Paradise and Home of the Arts. How good!

Single and return tickets, day passes, and 2hr cruise options are available.

The park is nestled right on the shores of the beautiful Broadwater, boasting unbeatable views and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're enjoying a morning walk along the shoreline, watching the kids splash in the shallows, or simply relaxing with a book by the water, the peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to unwind.

Main Beach Tourist Park

Soak up the sun at Main Beach

Pop down to one the Gold Coast's most beloved patrolled beaches. Have a play in the sand, go for a surf, or just relax with a book. Local tip: Before heading to the beach, visit Main Beach Pavilion for a coffee and brekky roll.

Explore Tedder Avenue

Just a short stroll from the park, this iconic street is full of charming cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques. Whether you're after a casual coffee, pub meal, or fine dining, Tedder's got you sorted.

Venture up to The Spit

If you've brought the bikes along, The Spit is a must-visit spot. Head up the Oceanway path to the northernmost beach on the Gold Coast, known for its iconic sand pumping jetty and surrounding parklands. Take in the views of the City from the jetty, play in the parks, and head to the café for a coffee or lunch.

Hang with the peacocks at Macintosh Island Park

Stroll through the beautiful gardens of Macintosh Island Park. Featuring playgrounds, barbeques and waterfront picnic areas, this park is a great place to spend the afternoon with the family. You might even spot some peacocks strutting through the gardens!

Ocean Beach Tourist Park

Climb up the rainbow stairs to North Burleigh Lookout

Start your day with a short walk up the colourful stairs to the lookout. You’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the coastline and a perfect photo op. It's also a great spot to spot whales during their winter migration!

Ride, scoot or walk along the Oceanway

The Oceanway path hugs the beach and is ideal for a morning ride or sunset stroll. Easily access other parts of the Gold Coast including Burleigh Heads, Mermaid Beach and Broadbeach. Not to mention the stunning views along the way!

Go for a surf at Miami

Miami Beach is a local favourite for catching waves. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or just starting out, the gentle breaks are perfect for all skill levels!

Enjoy local surf clubs

Refuel at one of the nearby surf clubs with a cold drink and classic pub fare. Guest favourites are Miami Beach and North Burleigh, both boasting stunning beach views!

Burleigh Beach Tourist Park

Explore Burleigh Head National Park

Wander through lush rainforest trails and spot wildlife along the Rainforest Track. For beautiful views of the ocean and Tallebudgera Creek, take the Ocean View Track around the rocky headland. Exploring this national park is a bucket list experience! Local tip: For breathtaking views of the coastline, walk through the national park up to Tumgun Lookout. This spot is perfect for whale watching and taking in the beautiful blue tones of the ocean.

Watch the sunset on Burleigh Hill

Join the locals on Burleigh Hill for golden hour. Bring a picnic and enjoy the laid-back vibe as the sun dips behind the skyline.

Explore James Street

James Street is buzzing with boutique shops, trendy cafes, and delicious eats. It’s the perfect spot to grab a smoothie, browse for beachwear, or indulge in fine dining.

Learn to surf at Burleigh Beach

Sign up for a surf lesson and ride the waves at one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic beaches. It’s a fun way to get active and soak up the sun.

Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park

Take a dip in the creek

Tallebudgera Creek is one of the Gold Coast's most iconic destinations. With calm, clear waters just steps from your site, it’s the perfect spot for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, or simply relaxing on the beach.

Hike through Burleigh Head National Park

This national park is a must-visit spot during your stay. There are 2 connected walking tracks in the national park - the Rainforest Track and the Ocean View Track. The Rainforest Track takes you up and over the headland, through lush rainforest full of wildlife. The Ocean View Track wraps around the headland and boasts stunning views of the ocean and the Gold Coast skyline.

Kirra Beach Tourist Park

Surf iconic breaks at Kirra, Coolangatta, or Snapper Rocks

These legendary surf spots are a short walk or cycle away. Watch the pros carve it up or simply enjoy the action from the beach.

Walk or cycle along the beautiful Oceanway

The Oceanway path winds along the coast, offering stunning views and easy access to nearby beaches and cafes. Along this path you can access Kirra Hill Lookout and Greenmount Beach.

Kirra is a foodie’s paradise, offering everything from laid-back beach cafés to upscale dining with ocean views. From acai bowls to fresh seafood, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Guest favourites are North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club, Siblings Restaurant, and Haig St Cafe.

Jacobs Well Tourist Park

Gone fishing!

Drop a line from the jetty or hire a boat for a day on the water. Jacobs Well is a hidden gem for anglers of all levels, with waters full of whiting, bream, and flathead.

Jacobs Well is a boaties haven! Launch straight from the boat ramp and explore the winding waterways and islands of southern Moreton Bay.

Visit charming local pubs and cafes

Day trip South Stradbroke Island

Catch the ferry to Tipplers Campground on South Stradbroke Island. Spend the day swimming in calm waters, relaxing under the trees, and enjoying a meal or drink at the Tipplers Café and Bar. With beachside picnic tables, walking trails, and plenty of wildlife, it’s the perfect spot for a chilled-out island adventure.
