The Great Thong Migration: Spring at Ocean Beach

Spring has officially sprung at the caravan park and let me tell you—it’s not just the flowers blooming, it’s the campers too! After months of winter hibernation, they’ve all re-emerged like slightly confused butterflies, blinking in the sunlight, dusting off camping chairs, and trying to remember how to put up an awning without accidentally creating a parachute.

The air is filled with the scent of jasmine, salty sea breezes, and just a hint of someone slightly overcooking sausages. (There’s always one. It’s tradition.) Kids are zipping around on bikes, magpies are eyeing off anyone foolish enough to eat a sandwich outside, and families are gathering for that most sacred of rituals: arguing about who forgot the tomato sauce.

Spring in the park is also prime whale-spotting season. That means you can sip your morning cuppa, gaze out at the ocean, and casually say, “Oh look, a humpback just breached,” as if that’s a normal Tuesday. Spoiler: it’s not. It’s epic.

We have the school holidays fast approaching with lots of return guests! No doubt they'll request their movie and popcorn nights, arts & crafts days, and Koala Hunt for their sugar fix (much to their parent's dismay). If you're lucky, they might share their marshmallows!

We can't forget our famous pancake brekkies either! It is definitely a favourite morning with our guests and they line up early to get as many as they can. Deeeeelish!

So whether you’re here for the sunshine, the sausage sizzles, or just to see how many whales you can spot before breakfast, spring is only the warm-up act. We’re geared up and ready for school holiday fun, long weekend shenanigans, and the big summer ahead—because at Ocean Beach, the good times don’t just roll in… they roll on!
